Bahholding delivered several methane (natural gas) sensors to ConEdison for field trials. The sensors utilize patented BAH non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology which ensures ultra-low power consumption, > 10 year lifetime, and selectivity to methane. The sensor is integrated with Silver Spring (a subsidiary of Itron) wireless mesh network, which reports natural gas leak alarms directly to a response center. The trial will demonstrate the robustness and reliability of BAH NDIR technology.
